Replacement for your Midland GMRS radio.
Battery life is approximately 8 hours continuous transmission or 12 hours monitoring. Easily replaced with a spare battery or AA cells. Nickel-cadmium batteries still work well, but not as long as their nickel-metal hydride counterparts. Charges fairly quickly compared to NiCad and doesn't seem to have any battery "memory" issues. Nice solid design.
