Review on Maxler Golden Whey Protein - High-Quality 100% Protein Blend with 25g by Mohammad Pesqueira

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Powder middle of the road, blueberry so-so

So I slowly go through every protein powder sold at Revain, at least in 3 pound cans, just to see what's inside. They have been doing this for almost ten years. I take just one scoop six days a week, typically with 5g of creatine and 10g of psyllium husk fiber. I don't have a lot of mass, I'm 5'10 and 183, not a bodybuilder, I just stay in shape. This powder - Maxler 100% Golden Whey Protein - is definitely average. Decent protein, no protein bitterness, no gastrointestinal problems, normal consistency. I've had better, I usually say Isopure Zero is my supplement of choice, but if you're just looking for a decent protein powder to maintain mass, this is probably a good choice. This type of powder will smell if you don't wash your shaker well, so be sure to do so and spray it on both the lid and cup of rubbing alcohol. I have to keep things clean. As for taste, this is my first time buying fruit flavored powder, I chose blueberry because, you know, YOLO and all that. As expected - synthetic and overly sweet. I don't hate it, I'm about to finish the powder but I don't think I would recommend it. It's just that base vanilla or chocolate seems like the way to go, at least for me. So I recommend it as a decent grooming powder.
