Review on 🚽 Kings Brand Furniture - Etagere Bathroom Shelf Organizer Rack for Free-Standing Storage by Candace Young

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not great but very good despite some surprises

Tempted by 5 stars I think the product could be significantly better even for the reasonable price I paid. The packaging was sufficient. Assembly is as easy as disassembly. A bit of a disappointment is that the pieces are very light and all four ledges of the shelf support, although easily straightened with pliers, were bent. Contrary to the instructions, I removed the side stand, a mistake that made me happy. Otherwise, the instructions simply showed the full assembly, so I found - obviously - that I had to remove the bottom rail to install the product, and then install the rail. Also, I had no problems installing it. I'm only deducting one star for the great shelf construction and the minor rust that showed up after a few weeks. Although the metal appeared to be fairly anodized, at least one spot closest to the sink showed rust that seemed to have been hit unnoticed by the most accidental splashes. Somehow, however, the rust was slightly worn away, leaving no visible imperfections. Contrary to the other reviewers, I felt the shelf in my bathroom looked good enough. However, its design had to be revealed before it went on sale. Not hard plastic, paper surface I was surprised to find. At least it's resistant to water dripping on it, although I was wondering what chemicals potentially extinguishing accomplish this. If anything, I felt that its finish, which was very muted glossy, looked better and less cheap than glossy plastic. Shelf on Making the pilot holes with a sharp nail or blade will probably be easy, but I wanted to make it easy to remove the shelf for cleaning and moving. Although the shelf sits very snugly - flat on its previously curved supports and flush with the surrounding trellis - dust naturally finds crevices. However, this is not a product defect.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Too stupid
