Review on Securely Store And Organize Your Jewelry With LANGRIA'S Lockable Jewelry Armoire by Michael Onwukaife

Would make a great gift for a teen

I bought this after thieves walked out of my house with my tabletop jewelry box. I wanted something that might not be noticeable to a thief, which is why I'm grateful that the design has the lock on the side instead of the front. I also wanted it to be secure and difficult to walk off with.Unfortunately, although the door closes, the hook on the lock isn't long enough to clasp it. When it does lock, just a light jiggle opens it. I'm now trying to figure out if I can go to the hardware store and replace the hook with something else. It also doesn't seem very steady as it jiggles on the floor. (My previous full-length mirror did not.)The mirror is very narrow. The compartments inside are poorly designed. It's very difficult to get earrings into their compartments if the earrings don't have a long stem. I put my earrings in the ring slots and it works well enough since I don't own any rings anymore. The bottom shelves are too small to fit my big bracelets as they're displayed in the ad, so I had to lay them flat which means only 4 fit bracelets fit on each shelf. I'm really wishing they had the bracelet bar I've seen on other jewelry-armoires. I also wish there was some lighting because it's very dark.In all, it's functional but a bit of letdown. I was hoping that there would be a positive spin on having my house broken into. But it seems like this was made for a child instead of an adult. I'm giving it three stars because I think it would make a great gift for a teen and may just end up gifting it to one of my nieces.Pros: affordable, espresso wood looks nice, easy to assemble, flexible options for jewelry storage, was delivered quickly and in great conditionCons: narrow mirror, unsteady (rocky), faulty locking mechanism, not great for storing earrings with short stems or big bracelets.
