Review on 🌿 Jungle Camo Carabiner Hook by Curtis Donjuan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for the price and purpose. Will give up to 5 stars if they don't break in the next few months

I bought these to attach a paracord rope to the nylon tarp of the tent poles I make. My cheap Home Depot (CB) carabiners were handled roughly and the paracord caught every time I tried to pull the loop out of the CB. The notch in the knot grips the paracord and carries it to the point where the narrow shank damages the paracord. They're smooth and don't have that annoying notch. The springs are very strong for the price. Much better than HD carabiners. The gate is also aligned but there is a slight play, however that doesn't prevent the gate from closing reliably every time I use it. I returned to order two more shipments for my plan. This is a 10 x 20 foot tarp and in windy weather the CB gets a lot of stress when I use the tarp in the high desert. What I use them for, I can't justify $6+ for a "real" climbing CB. There are more than a few reviews that said these CBs fell apart almost immediately. It looks like most of them were released in 2017. Quality control and materials seem to have improved since then. I'll update my post after a few uses.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Great price
