Review on πŸŽ’ HawLander Packable Lightweight Daypack Backpack by Alex Rea

Revainrating 4 out of 5

lots of space

I took it with me on a week and a half trip to South America. I bought it because the dimensions were slightly larger than Spirit airline's personal items and I wanted to maximize the amount of items I could take with me (beverage fees for carry-on and checked baggage, but not personal items). Holds up pretty well. That thing has a lot of pockets. There is a small pocket at the bottom that I used for documents. Small front pocket, approximately 11" deep x 8" wide. There is a medium sized pocket, 14.5" deep, 11" wide. This bag has a divider. Then there's the main bag, which is about 12 inches wide, 21 inches deep, and 6.5 inches thick, also with a divider. In principle, many things can be placed in it. We only experienced very light rain on our trip so can't comment on how waterproof it is, but very light foggy rain kept my gear dry. The only thing that bothers me about this backpack is that the nalgene water bottle barely fits in when the bag is packed. Goes well with an empty pocket. But I was trying to put down a water bottle with a reasonably full bag and the mesh stretched so much that it was pulled out of the bag. On the other hand, the mesh also came off the gums. In general, the quality corresponds to the price.
