Review on 💡 KMC 6-Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip 2-Pack, 900 Joules, 4ft Extension Cord, Overload Protection, Black by Randy Hunnicutt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not a bad extension cord, but can you call it a surge protector?

For a long time I tried to figure out what the essence is, how this surge protector differs from ordinary carrying, there is a lot of information on the Internet about this, but since I couldn’t figure it out with physics, there are two main opinions that I understood for myself. 1. SF Protects the computer and other devices from power surges by directing excessive voltage to the ground, but the question is, if the socket into which the filter is connected is not grounded, how is the filter itself, how does this happen? 2) SF Protects devices (TV, receiver), etc. from strong interference from the computer and other devices, but I did not notice a difference in the operation of the receiver and the TV, when the computer was running from this surge protector, and when the computer was running from the usual carrying of Kharkov production. But this is all a saying, now about the extension filter itself (5m) with 6 outlets and a switch. The switch glows red in active mode, but it is worth noting that after 3 years the bulb burned out! But in general, it’s convenient, for example, I have a computer, monitor, speakers, printer, router, and one socket sometimes used to charge the phone or some other little thing, a flashlight, etc. The filter looks very solid, I would say expensive and reliable compared to cheap carriers, it is possible to mount it on the wall, you can connect both euro plugs and old-style plugs to sockets. In general, if you don’t delve into whether it performs its functions and doesn’t try to figure out what functions it has, there’s nothing to complain about at all, it worked for 5 years without any complaints. But given what I started with, it’s worth noting that either you still need to understand the principles of operation and, before buying such a filter, make sure that it performs its functions, or still save money and buy a regular extension cord (for comparison, Buro Surge Protector Surge Protector (5m ) costs about 100 UAH today, an extension cable made in Kharkov (3 outlets-5m) -35, that is, it is cheaper to buy two extension cords, which is not very convenient, but you can find an extension cord for 6 outlets, I just don’t know the price for such, but I think it will obviously not more expensive than 3 * 2) In general, I can’t recommend it, because I myself didn’t figure out whether it makes sense to pay more or not, but if you are sure, by virtue of your knowledge, that it differs in some way from a regular extension cord, then you can take it, at least there are no complaints about the quality!
