According to the description it is waterproof but unfortunately it is not. I took my kids to the snow and they said their hands were warm. I was delighted to find velvet gloves that actually fit my 8 and 10 year olds. After about 30 minutes of playing in the snow, they complained of cold hands. wait what? I took their gloves off and it was so wet I felt sorry for my kids because they didn't have warm hands like mine! Smh But as you know kids are stubborn when it comes to having fun and they wanted to survive and have fun even when their hands were wet/cold. We've been gone as long as I would have liked for them, but I had to make them thaw out their poor little hands. My mistake is that I thought I made a great purchase but ended up failing.
