It is definitely durable. Unfortunately after 3 months of use it hurt my wrist as the end of the strap was tucked under the strap to stay secure and not stay up like regular bracelets do. Unfortunately I really like the strap because using the side vents to get a snug fit after a while bent the metal bar. I have one of those complicated wrists, not that thin but too big for the usual bracelet sizes. Either loose or too tight, but the extra holes made this band nice. I would like the end of the ribbon to be able to be inserted from the top instead of from the bottom. I have to find a replacement.
