My old Plantronics (10+ years old) started giving bad feedback and noise, especially when using the mic. So it's time for a new headset. I wanted something I could use for both work and play on my PC. Wireless wasn't important to me, but I wanted a more comfortable experience, very good noise canceling/mic and good sound quality. I didn't want to spend $200 either. After a long search and research, I decided on the Corsair HS60. I doubted it -- some of the reviews here were "not good," "poor," and "broken out of box," but for the $120 deal, I figured if they weren't good, I might return them at any time. They came very quickly and I was basically plug and play. My RAM is also Corsair and the headset works with ICUE, but there is no RGB lighting on the headset. I'll have to investigate this feature further to see what the headset can do with it. I bring this up because when I plugged in the headset I wanted to update the software. In any case, the headset installed and had to be restarted and then worked fine. This headset is one of the most comfortable I've ever used, far superior to my Plantronics and the tiny Logitech headsets I use at work. The sound quality is very good, the volume range is stable. So far the mic has performed exactly how I wanted it to after using it in 10+ work meetings and 5 gaming sessions and other than moving the mic closer to my mouth there have been no complaints of feedback or background noise noise. The headset has decent noise cancellation, I can't hear my dog whining or my girlfriend screaming for help if she drops something unless she's very tall/glassy. I didn't buy the headset for the haptic feedback, although that's a cool feature for gaming. I really appreciate being able to control the magnitude of the impact. I don't mind them being wired as I use them on my work/gaming PC. The only thing I hate about them is that they only come in this camouflage pattern/color. That's not my aesthetic. Finally, I think they cost over $100, I'd say they're somewhere "much higher" than your regular $20-$60 headset. If your needs are similar to mine, I would highly recommend this headset.
