Review on Hurricane Tower Heater: 70-Degree Oscillating Heater with Remote Control by Anthony Flores

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for small/medium sized rooms, the thermostat/auto shut off feature works great.

I was always nervous about buying a heater (I love pyrophobia) but after getting cold in my bedroom (we heat the house downstairs with a wood stove, no central heating) and the fuse With a small bathtub heater in hand, I searched for a cheap one that did NOT look like it was going to burn my house down, and here we are! This is a really good budget heater that can REALLY heat up a room. at 70 or 75 degrees there is always an automatic switch-off. It seems to sense room temperature fairly accurately, it never got too hot for me to turn it off myself. When it gets hot, it goes into fan mode for a few seconds to cool the outdoor grill (which doesn't get TOO hot, but I still wouldn't touch it or let kids/pets near it while it's on). Timer mode activated. cool too, sometimes I use that in combination with a thermostat. I find that 70 degrees per hour works for my space. I've never exceeded the temp (90) or let it run for more than 2 hours (I'm pretty sure it can last around 12 hours, there's another setting after the 8 hour mark and I personally find it excessive) if you don't want to kill your electric bill. 2-4 hours is enough.) Mine doesn't spin very smoothly, rattles and gets stuck - but that's fine because I really only have to point it at my desk. Warmth still fills the room. There's a nice groove on the back that makes it easy to lift/twist by hand without touching hot spots on the front, if any (haven't touched the grille for sure, but I think it's pretty hot - won't burn you , but also uncomfortable) And as you can see it has a solid base to keep it off the floor - so I'd say it can safely be placed on carpet (mine on a wooden stool because it's a bit short and I like it just prefer to feel heat over my hands/face) but of course keep it away from water, paper, hay or anything else you wouldn't put near hot stuff. Highly recommended!
