Great for toning level 6/7 orange hair to a gorgeous mushroom ash brown tone.
Decided to try Manic Panic Dark Star as a pick-me-up. It came out as expected. I wanted to quickly hide the red/orange color from my hair and the blue shampoo doesn't work as quickly as I would like. It gave me exactly the hair color I wanted. I know to use it at hair level 10 to get a grey-purple result. I didn't use it for that. If someone wants a nice ash-mushroom brown, this is achievable at hair level 6/7. Don't forget to use a protein treatment first if you've recently bleached to better preserve the color.
