Let's get this straight: I'm not an audiophile, but honestly if that's how you described yourself, what do you even do when you're looking at $20 headphones? Other than that I think it's fantastic value for money and perfect for my needs. The problem is that I can't stand headphones. I don't know if it has something to do with the shape of my ears, but all the earplugs I've tried have always caused my ears to hurt after wearing them for more than a short period of time. I have pricier in-ear headphones but they are frankly very bulky for travel. So I figured, you know, it would be really cool if there was something like those old Sony headphones that came with every player except wireless ones! And frankly, I was very surprised not to find a larger selection in line with these general principles. But I found these and they work great. Not to mention that they are very cute! I used them in flight and had no problems with the volume. I'll say I've only listened to music, so I don't know how well they would work for an audio book, podcast, or whatever. It's true that they don't have noise cancellation. For me that's a plus. Especially when travelling, I like to pay attention to what's going on around me, so it's good for me to hear what's going on around me. It's also good for listening at work or on the go. The charging port is a bit fiddly to use, but after plugging it in a few times I got used to it, so it's not a problem. One feature I didn't know about until reading the instructions is that these headphones come with three sound presets. So if you don't like the sound balance, you can try changing one of the other settings. Definitely very happy with it!
