Full Disclosure: I am literally wearing this brace as I write this. I have EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome). I usually tell people I'm a jelly person because it's easier. In fact, all my joints are made of slime. As you can imagine (or not, who knows), this leads me to all sorts of intriguing problems. Basically, this leads me to twist something all the time. I have ALL braces for joints. Two on the right wrist, one on the left; like hoops on 9 fingers; four knee pads and three compression sleeves; Bandage at the ankle and two sleeves at the ankle; two pairs of compression gloves; probably even more. I've tried all kinds of local pain relievers, bandages, and compression sleeves for all kinds of pain. But this is the first bandage that really helps my hips. The hips are an odd place to fix. I honestly never expected to find something for the hips. But here I am. I know this is mostly for groin and back injuries, but it's the only one that even remotely fixes my hip, and it's doing a damn good job. It keeps my snapping hips from getting worse by putting a lot of pressure on the muscles. It provides gentle compression for swelling and inflammation. This helps prevent dislocation of the hip when walking or moving, and also helps protect the joint after it has already been dislocated and then stepped on again. While I can't speak to its functionality for back and groin pain, I can give this brace two super flexible thumbs up for EDS hip issues!
