Although the seller claims it is an analog signal (in the questions section), this cannot be configured in software or through the radio. I think you'll be able to set up digital APRS in software somehow, but that's not what I was looking for. In that sense the software (and hardware as far as I know) is identical to the Baofeng 1802 but without modification does not use any code plugs with this radio. I basically got it for the APRS feature so mine will be back. Who cares, this could be a good radio, I was able to connect to my hotspot without too much trouble and the sound was ok. One star for the wrong description of the properties.
