DO NOT BUY - broke after 8 months - terrible customer service - LG and Asurion warranties are useless

First, a jagged line of pixels that runs down the center of the screen appears and disappears. The big problem is that after 8 months the display completely stopped working. It charges but nothing shows on the screen - just a dead black screen. Swapping cables, laptops, outlets, etc. didn't help, it's a problem with the monitor. LG is the absolute WORST. I've spent 2 weeks on the phone with customer support with no progress even though this thousand dollar broken product is still fully covered under warranty. Every time the call ends with them telling me to email me a shipping label and I should have it within a day. The bad news is that the repair will take over a month at the moment but they will NOT send me a label to send the monitor in for repair. Every time I call back it's an agonizing hour on the phone with no progress. Here are some of the excuses I've heard for not emailing myself a shipping label that make me wonder if they're intentionally trying to circumvent the warranty: - It may take 24 hours for the email to mail arrives. - Email delivery may take 2-3 business days. - You must pay before any repairs can be done [denied after I objected and asked four times what the cost would be. They then confirmed that my warranty says I don't have to pay for any repairs.] - Is the phone number correct to reach you at [some random number I've never heard of]? - It was sent to the wrong department, I need it to create a new case. [So the MANAGER at LG handling this case sent it to the wrong department after talking to me on the phone for an hour and saying they would prioritize the case. What?] Don't buy this monitor, I really regret buying it.
