Incredible monitor. My 4k monitor looks bad off it. The speaker, microphone and camera also work great and better than on my Mac which was already good. As a standalone monitor, it works fantastic. This is my second - I bought one for my home office and one for my work office, love them. It's worth the pack - hell yes. But it should last 1-2 decades and the quality can't be beat for what I use 5-10 hours a day so it's worth the investment for me.

My only complaint is that the monitor goes blank or goes into screensaver mode while I'm working, which is totally unacceptable. LG definitely makes better monitors and I chose the 4K model over the 5K because it has 2 Thunderbolt ports that allow me to connect both a MAC and a PC without unplugging the cable too must. 4K in the 24-inch format delivers a fairly high pixel density. Very bright screen. My only gripe is the overall design, especially given its MAC-centric pedigree.

I called LG during the warranty period and they took care of absolutely everything. Repaired or replaced. I'm not sure and I don't care. It's back and works great. Until Apple releases their own monitors (which they seem to be working on), this seems like the best option. but you pay a high price. Very happy so far The webcam is better than the MacBookPro (brighter and wider angle) and the speakers are loud. The 5K resolution and 27-inch physical size is a big step up from my previous monitor.
