Review on LG 27MD5KL B Ultrafine Monitor: 🖥️ Thunderbolt, 5120X2880P, 60Hz, ‎27-inch - Perfect Compatibility by Karthic Virum

I've been using this monitor for about two weeks now and am delighted with the excellent resolution and build quality. My only complaint is that the monitor goes blank or goes into screensaver mode while I'm working, which is totally unacceptable. The only way to recover the video is to disconnect and reconnect the Thunderbolt cable. I know it's a monitor and not an M1 Mac Mini because when the video is restored I can see the results of my blind keystrokes. There was no point in contacting LG for support. I hope there are some settings that need to be tweaked to prevent this behavior. The return process has now begun, as an unreliable monitor is unacceptable for so much money. I have a month to figure it out, but there is no tech support to rely on. Update 1/9/21: Upgrade to 4 stars. It would be bigger if there were more ports and a narrower bezel. As it turns out, the issue with the unexpected pop-up screensaver has more to do with Big Sur than the monitor. The problem occurs about 20 minutes after starting the machine. Apple is working on a fix for an issue that can also be fixed by avoiding the login window. I have multiple users and the recommended approach to switching between them is the quick switch option in the top right corner of the OSx toolbar. Apple also provided the following command to run from an administrator account and then reboot as a temporary measure. to solve the problem.
