Great quality, did not expect at all for the price.

There were both pocketbooks and onyxes - each with its own shortcomings and advantages. So, Kindle is the best reader I've ever had. The assembly and materials are beyond praise. The work of the sensor is on the level. Although it happens that it does not respond to turning the page, but this is rare. There is a backlight that can be completely turned off. The screen is good, I won’t say that it’s directly white, but my eyes don’t get tired, and if you also turn on the backlight, then it’s generally excellent. But due to the fact that it is touch-sensitive - fingerprints remain on it and in these places the text loses its clear outlines - this is not very good - you have to wipe it often, so there are not enough physical control buttons so as not to touch the screen once again. But, unlike the same pocketbooks (at least the old ones), the screen should not crack on its own - it seems to be covered with more or less durable glass. There is also moisture protection. It's not that I like to read underwater, but now you can lie in the bath and read without fear that moisture will get inside the reader, and that's good. Soft - everything is very ascetic and simple here, but this is exactly the READER. There are other devices for surfing the Internet. As for reading formats, it reads two formats: MOBI and AZW3. But with the help of the Caliber program, any other text format can be converted to them. It is better to convert to AZW3 - it turns out more correctly. The battery holds a charge depending on the mode of use: if with backlight, then a week and a half with reading 2-3 hours a day, if without backlight, then it can work for more than two weeks. Of the minuses - the non-obvious organization of books in the device, all these collections, lists, libraries are quite confusing and do not cause a desire to understand them. It would be much more convenient to simply distribute books into folders. But if you do not read 10 books at the same time, then this can not be considered a disadvantage. All in all, the Kindle is a great book reader for a very reasonable price.

Pros
  • Excellent build Good software Moisture protection
