My kids love their polaroid mini cameras but don't buy them unless you're willing to make a to-do list so they can make money for their own film! Film is so expensive and with all of today's technology I really needed to help them understand that you can't just take 10 photos of the same scene to get ONE good picture. Each photo costs anywhere from 75% to $1.00, so they've learned to really slow down at capturing moments. These cameras also don't take good photos if the lighting isn't perfect. It's not good when the sun is shining, and it's not good in dark rooms. But overall they were fun.
