The awful smell didn't go away even after months of use
Update. So I didn't pay attention to the smell at first, as that's normal with many products. But a month has passed and it still stinks! I even pulled it out and nothing helped. What a waste of money! This is exactly what my package and game was missing. It's not soft at all and this pillow makes up for it just perfectly. Good quality and as expected.
