I gave this blanket to my son to whom I passed my love for the series. I've also passed on my love of cats, so a blanket that combines the two seemed like the perfect gift for him. The blanket is well made and great for hiding while you watch Star Trek (or whatever)! The design side is charming and fun, the design is clear, and it is easy to see the details of the original artwork in it. It is soft and medium weight. It's heavier than I expected but not a heavy winter rug. We live in the cold north so we often wrap ourselves in blankets during the winter months (and most of spring and fall) and I think that's a good weight for that anyway. The blanket washes well and there was no bleeding. , fade, shrink or something else. It comes out of the wash and looks great.
