Review on Certified Supplier Cinolink Adapter Universal by Brian Trotter

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Bad design junk that may or may not suit you - check before Revain closes the returns window

Design wise the adapter is overall too thin and too long along the wrong axis. You cannot connect the adapter to a drive and place the drive (3.5" or 2.5") and adapter on a flat surface because the adapter does not touch the surface and is not on the same level as the bottom of the drive located. drive unit. With a shorter adapter (ie not protruding as far from the actuator) this wouldn't be a big problem, but its length creates leverage that stresses the connection to the actuator. B. by twisting the connection point of the adapter, which makes it basically inevitable that it will fall out if you look at it the wrong way. If you succeed in making the connection (see below), be sure to use something as a gasket under the adapter to ensure there is no torque at the connection point with the actuator and to ensure 100% mating of the adapter plugs and actuator plugs. -he. But despite the poor design, mine just didn't work. I've tried IDE drives, old and new SATA hard drives (from mid 2000s to 2019 drives), SATA SSDs, but never successfully connected the device to Windows or Linux via USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports, AND I have tried another USB 3.0 B to 3.0 A cable and no success here either. There are many reviews here stating that it works and works well and I have to disagree that most of them are legitimate reviews so take a chance and test it out ASAP (within Revain's return period, which I unfortunately did). Not).
