The beauty of this model, I uses it to replace the Optoma HD20 lamp assembly, the modular design greatly simplifies the task. It's a simple fix: unscrew the three screws, remove the unit's outer cover and unclip the lamp module, then slide the new unit back into place and reverse the screwing process (shouldn't sound as messy as it sounds). When the lamp is not in sleep mode, it produces a strong, bright image with all the sharpness, clarity and vivid colors of the original lamp (if not better). Also, considering previous purchases, I thought it was a steal for the price offered by this seller. This is my second Optoma HD20 projector and my fourth Optoma projector and these lamp assemblies are one of the company's strengths and as they are not strictly proprietary an aftermarket like this is possible and affordable. As long as the projector still works, I will continue to buy such lamp assemblies. I am very happy with this purchase.
