Let me start by saying that I don't have a Casper mattress. I have a regular 3 inch memory foam mattress. I've been using a cheap waterproof mattress topper for a few months but I'm tired of waking up in a puddle of sweat as it doesn't breathe. I chose this premium protection based on the reviews available online. The fit and thickness of this protection is superb! I love how it holds my mattress topper in place and my bed looks sharp afterwards. The bad news is that I didn't. I don't like sleeping on the surface and it took me a night to figure it out. I wasn't sweating, so I was breathing as I wanted, but I felt like I was sleeping on a hard surface, so I wasn't getting a good rest. from my local Sam's Club to put on a mattress pad and I have the softness I want. Yes, I now have three mattress toppers on my mattress, but everything is tight and I didn't sweat last night. This protector may feel different to a Casper mattress and you don't need an extra pad. Just be prepared that you could lose your luxurious softness just by adding this protection.
