I bought this device as a way to get started with the machine control environment. I needed to display readings, breakpoints, and interface to remote video sources using a Raspberry Pi and other microcontroller electronics. I wanted a rugged device that would stand up to the abuse in a retail environment. Four similar products were tested and although this unit was the most expensive, I was impressed with its performance and quality. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable and durable touchscreen for engineering or lab use. The 7-inch size makes it ideal for mounting directly onto and interacting with a variety of embedded control systems. It comes with all possible cables for connecting its inputs, none of the other tested devices was so well equipped.
