Replace your piece of RR rail with this one.

I've waited a very long time to write this review because I wanted to give a fair review. I tirelessly searched for the anvil, and the longer I searched, the more difficult it became. If you're like me and don't have thousands of dollars to blow on an antique Heybudden anvil, but are on the verge of insanity working with a makeshift anvil-shaped object, then you're reading the right review! This anvil will instantly increase your productivity and make you feel like a real blacksmith! The rebound is at least 90% and is a monster compared to where most people start. It's painted with an absolutely ridiculous blue anti-corrosion varnish and covered with "wax" on the front (further anti-corrosion measures). Mine came in a small box with a huge hole made by a horn. A free "hammer" fell out of the hole and something crushed the wooden handle. Spoiler alert: The free hammer looks like something Barbie has. So don't plan on a hammer you can't actually use, and I'll tell you right away, you need to lower your expectations a bit. After inspecting the expensive anvils, I strained my expectations of what I would get and I regret not having bought this anvil a long time ago. Mine came with a bunch of junk in a sturdy hole, which I had to dig out and took a day and a half to expand it to a full inch (it came with a sturdy 7/8 inch). Hand files, strip files and many patients used an angle grinder and wire wheel to remove the paint and used 40 and 120 grit wheels to finish the corners. The corners of the shaft are so sharp I was afraid I might snap them off if I didn't finish them properly. But the only thing that really got me excited was the shape of the horn and how big Pritchel's hole was. it's not round, it's kind of oval, and in the pictures it looked round to me, but I'm here to say you expect a wide horn. But he doesn't honk his horn at all! And the parable is practically useless to me. All in all it took some TLC to get this anvil the way I wanted it to be, but now that I've been tinkering with it for at least 6 months I can say I absolutely love it. Do yourself a favor and don't buy the ยฃ66 version because it's an anvil you could use for years. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the work I had to do on it and the elongated horn. Otherwise, the thing is damn cool! I sincerely hope this review helps, and good luck to you! Fry and beat, friends!
