I got a size up in these belts. My waist is 40 inches and they fit comfortably. Not too tight and not too loose. I wear it on the second or third hole. The straps are almost 3 inches wide. They really help hide a wide waist. I also have a very long waist. It seems every dress I receive is one waist too short. This can be fixed with one of those wide straps. The belt is a braided rib knit with a patent leather front and buckle. I thought there was white, black and red. But white is not all white or tan. This is a great deal and so nice to add interest to any outfit.
