I originally purchased this unit over 3 years ago. For 3 years it has protected my computer from multiple power failures and surges. He died a few weeks ago protecting my computer. Since I liked this product and felt it was of good quality, I decided to buy a new one to replace the one that died. Also, I have two others for my mother and brother. Unfortunately the product has changed. What I received was not what I received 3 years ago. The biggest noticeable change is that sockets no longer have a built-in dust cap. Because of this change and style change I am now not sure if the inner workings of the product are different from what I received 3 years ago. Having only been using this new product for a few weeks, I cannot confirm the protective effect. They also seem to be made out of lower quality plastic than they used to be. All in all the original product I received 3 years ago was a great device but due to changes made to this new product I don't know how well it will work. I will update this review with more information as I use the product.
