Mine needs to be replaced in six months now. For a while, it was almost as good as a wired Xbox 360 controller worthy of four or five stars. But the end of the USB cable on the controller has a long, inflexible head that puts too much pressure on the connector. This will loosen the connection over time. Now my controller is almost unusable because the cable loses connection to the controller quite often when playing games. I would suggest getting a wireless adapter and some rechargeable batteries and fix those cable issues. If you (like me) prefer a wired connection, at least get a better quality micro USB cable and be careful with it. And don't let children play with it. And securely install it when not in use to avoid dropping it (even a brief drop can weaken the connector if it lands in a way that puts pressure on the cable head).
