If you're like me, you're always looking for batteries for a flashlight, a child's toy or a smoke detector. The only battery I almost never have on hand is 9 volts. I mostly only use these batteries in smoke detectors. Other things that use 9 volt batteries I rarely use: an electronic tape measure, an infrared thermometer, a nail finder, etc. However, when I need them, the batteries usually die. It's very nice to have a pair of 9 volt rechargeable batteries that are always on hand and fully charged in an hour or so. Put it in the right device and remove it when I'm done. If the battery drains over time due to non-use, leave it for a while to charge your phone. This is very handy for me as I can never find out where I put the damn charger for other batteries or if I'm using the right charger for that brand of battery.
