I am pleased with the purchase as a whole; I use two different toothbrushes (one manual, with a soft shield, in the morning, and one electric, with a rotating head, in the evening), and I even bought a children's nozzle for my three-and-a-half-year-old son because he enjoys using it to brush his teeth (we clean the usual brush regularly, and this one 3-4 times a week) In addition to effectively preventing the formation of tartar on teeth, this brush also cleans thoroughly, removes plaque, and polishes the teeth. My gums are really sensitive, therefore I can only use it once a day. I wouldn't say it hurts much, but it does occur.
