My wife and I have 3 old dogs, they come into the bedroom and move at night. We found that it was very dark in there and we were concerned that one of them would hurt their leg if they moved in total darkness and my wife couldn't sleep in the bright light in the room. This is located on the footboard of our sleigh bed, pointing down at an angle of about 45°. When the dogs start moving, it turns on at its weakest setting and stays on until they lie down (about 15 seconds). By hanging an orange handkerchief over the light to soften the color she gets a good night's sleep and they are safer now (don't fall on each other and their litter). My only problem is trying to turn it off while charging. Our bookshelf, the direction of dimming and the setting of various functions does not include this, only the inclusion of modes of operation. Overall very nice and worth the money.
