Originally purchased to protect suitcases in the open cab of a truck when traveling. I knew they were going to be very big, but they are REALLY, REALLY big! They are made of durable plastic and are of excellent quality. A bag lying horizontally on the floor is 32 inches wide at the bottom, but the side panels allow it to open to a width of 60 inches at the top. The total length is 63 inches. I've always used a tarp with bungee cords to cover intermediate items like bookshelves or large appliances. Never. They take up very little storage space. A box of 25 holds about the same amount. Space is like two 10'X 10' folded tarps and comes in handy for so many things. Just use your imagination. These bags are of excellent, durable quality and an extremely handy size. I think they are worth their price. Definitely recommend these bags
