I have a RODI device with a small DI canister on it (LiquaGen model). The original resin lasted about 50 gallons and showed 1-2 TDS on my gauge. I bought Aqualife mixed bed color change resin and got back about 50 gallons before reading 1-2 on my TDS meter. This product filled my canister three times, so I got a total of 150-200 gallons of water for just over $18. I bought this product to try a competitor and see if I can get 50+ gallons. At first I was amazed when I put in 20 gallons and NO resin had yet changed color. Here are the problems: 1. At about 30 gallons my gauge started reading 1 TDS, 20 gallons lower than the competition. It can be seen that the resin does not change color. This may be an isolated case, but annoying. I double checked the order and the bag and they both say "color change" but clearly they don't. 3. The bag is small and I only get about 2.5 refills compared to the 3 refills I got with Aqualife. So this product is more expensive as it holds less than 100 gallons as there is not enough in the bag for 3 refills. I will not buy again.
