Review on 🔭 Celestron 93493 CPC 1100 Heavy Duty Tripod in Black/Silver by Mark Lowery

After purchasing an equatorial wedge for my nexstar 6se I decided that I needed a tripod that could handle the extra weight and a stronger base for my scope and wedge.While the standard tripod was only good for the scope in an Alt/Az configuration, I was suspicious of the added weight of both pieces of gear plus can carry my camera.After finding this tripod I found out I had some reservations as the reviews didn't say much about it and it is an expensive upgrade my standard tripod, I was delighted to see that they are solid die-cast aluminum parts with good cam locks that should last for years.The legs touch the Base with excellently machined aluminum "spikes". Neck grip with different surfaces. id, solid and solid. The accessory tray is solid and heavy, the leg braces are solid aluminum bars instead of the stamped channel steel I feared. I am very happy with this purchase and can't wait for first light tonight hoping to get some long exposures. I would highly recommend this tripod to anyone who needs a solid, well built platform for their Nextstar SE Series scope. I suspect it would be great for any scope up to 9.25 in the Nexstar SE or Evolution line.
