Obviously this isn't a top notch tool and it's pretty obvious once you start putting everything together. Things don't fit perfectly, but they fit snugly rather than loosely, so once fitted they feel secure. The shank, which doesn't allow the drill to go too deep, is a handy addition, but it didn't even go into the groove at first. As it was varnished we only had to press on it to remove some paint and then it went in easily and the screw holding it in place had to be tightened heavily. Although our country is a nutcase and refuses to bother with metrics when things are sold here, adding "inches" measurements would be a nice plus. This is the only small flaw in the bar that comes with it. It's metric, not inches. The battery also had to be switched on forcibly before it snapped into place. Speaking of batteries, having two makes this the real deal. I ordered this kit for our sign shop and the staff were happy to add it to our installation kit. There are times when a perforator is vital. It's impossible to judge the durability of this tool, but as far as battery life goes, it was a good indication that one of the batteries that came with the kit was still charged, so we were able to test the drill ourselves, and so far it looks decent looking. For those who occasionally need a drill that can also be used as an impact drill for jobs that involve drilling through concrete, for example, this seems like a good, inexpensive choice. Will it hold up over time? The jury is still out!
