I am using this Type-C to VGA adapter to connect a 2017 21" iMac to a Mitsubishi HDTV. This is useful as the 4K color palette of the iMac differs from that of the TV, which makes a big difference in video production.This way I can view the videos I make on both my TV screen and my computer screen.The only drawback is the lack of screw holes to attach the VGA adapter. I overcame this shortcoming with the help of rubber bands (see photo) I'm not sure if rubber bands are needed as the connection is very tight and unlikely to come loose.
