Great product at a great price

This product is great for all ages and all leagues. I have T-Ballers up to AAA and they love these balls. Here are the pros and cons for all ages: Durability: I have yet to see a practice ball that has withstood the amount of abuse these balls have endured. We have light hitters to ball destroyers. Compared to regular plastic baseballs/wyfling balls, these balls have no visible dents anywhere. We still have dozens of plastic ball halves, we used all kinds of glue to tie them together for durability. However, after a week of use, they ended up in the wastebasket when they were freshly brought in. At $20 a dozen, they'll last longer than $8 a dozen. We've already spent over $100 on cheap plastics, including hard plastic versions. Should have invested in them first. Impact Feedback: Incredible impact feedback. As opposed to a slight impact like cheaper plastic, they shattered, creating a longer period of kinetic transfer from racquet to ball and leaving much more feedback on where the racquet touched the ball and how much energy was being transferred. Everyone was quite impressed and shocked by the ball's first 50 shots. The volume of harder hits never fails to bring a smile to those who know the importance of instant feedback on hits. Travel Distance: The harder you hit, the less distance the balls will travel. It was quite amusing to see tee-ball players and eight-year-old minor league players hit balls and hurl them over 80 feet while tackling the hardest AA and AAA shots making thunderous noises, balls only to hurl 30 feet. So the harder you hit, the less you have to run and collect balls. Pain on hitting: I can't say the pain on hitting these balls is any less than the more rigid plastic balls. However, these bounce balls don't bounce far after hitting you, leaving a very small red mark. Hard plastic balls leave nice dark circles and bounce quite far away from you. You don't have to go far to grab those balls when they hit you. Colours: why black? Why dark yellow? I can understand if we're training on a very sunny day, but I prefer a nice deep red over bright yellow/orange so we can extract them more efficiently. They are so hard to find in bushes, tall grass and shady places when the yellow surface of the balls is down. It took a long time to get them all due to an issue with the color scheme. Weight: We coaches and pitchers love the weight of these balls. They are not so light that they are difficult to throw in light winds (8 mph) unlike cheap hard plastic balls. They're perfect enough to throw into the wind with just the right weight to know the throw is accurate enough to place them in the hitting zone the way you want. I throw with both left and right hands and this makes my serve a lot easier, especially for small 5 year old teebolists. An ounce heavier should be perfect, even if I have to pay $5 more for used plastic. Size: Can't complain. Ideal for all pitcher sizes. However, if SKLS can make these balls the size of golf balls, I'll happily buy 10 dozen. I want these balls with positive properties in smaller sizes to practice shooting accuracy and sharpen players' concentration. Overall Impression: I will never buy cheaper hard plastics again, even if they're $3 by the dozen. Wish SKLZ can offer a better color scheme, heavier balls and smaller sizes.
