if you want a pedometer that does the job, don't buy it. This is cheap junk. It turns on and can be zeroed and switched to km, miles or step mode. What he can't do is count the steps. No matter where I pinch it, stick it in, or hold it, it just won't record steps. A few years ago I had better luck with a dollar store pedometer, wish I'd kept it instead of throwing it away when the battery died. The only good thing about this POS is that it comes with an extra battery.
