This is a good product and I liked it. I took off the stars because I noticed it had an unpleasant, possibly dishwasher-like smell that caused the food on the plate to take on that aroma. As a result, all foods had the same unpleasant taste. I've only had the product for 4 months. I'm glad I decided to eat my baby's leftovers off the plate out of the blue because otherwise I wouldn't know and my toddler wouldn't be able to tell me. My toddler left more food, I only assumed because they wanted to get away and play. Not sure if not exposing it to heat will solve this problem. My best recommendation is to hand wash in warm to cold water with mild soap and dry immediately. I'm not sure if this helps to avoid the problem.
