After reading all the reviews on the b 4 purchase, I'm glad I don't have any of the balls leaking around the cord (yet). Many have complained about this. BUT. This was given to my 11 year old son as a birthday gift just 10 (right, 10) days ago. He just showed me the other day how to COMPLETELY erase the entire "section" of the ball in the exact shape/area where he (correctly) holds the ball to shoot. You can literally and easily emboss the shape of your hand onto the ball, including the shape of your thumbprint - sure! I find that surprising and strange. This is perhaps what you would expect from a soccer team using a single soccer ball. I don't expect that kind of wear and tear from a lonely, skinny, 75-pound 11-year-old throwing a soccer ball by himself.
