Review on πŸ”³ Atomic Top Button English Talking Watch: Loud Sound Talking Clock Gift for Visually Impaired Seniors in UK and USA - 5 Senses 1095 by Susan Castle

LOW VOLUME DESTROYS A GOOD WATCH

I love the design and functionality of this ATOMIC TALKING WATCH with its large top button; However, I am very disappointed that the volume is so low and there is no way to turn the volume up! I read the Revain customer reviews very carefully for several talking watches and chose this one because the reviewers said it had great volume and a clear speaker. Speech intelligibility is okay, but the volume is too low, and since it's not adjustable, it's a real problem. I am very disappointed because I ordered this watch for a blind friend whose family is giving him a SURPRISE for his 90th BIRTHDAY and I thought a talking watch would be the perfect gift for him (I gave him an Echo a year ago bought), but, not knowing how good his hearing is, I don't know if this watch would be the useful gift I chose. I did not return the Revain watch as it is the loudest watch according to reviews. So I decided to keep the watch, give it to him at a party next weekend and hope his hearing was good enough to hear the time and date announcement. But I am not satisfied with the purchase. (My teenage son got me a talking pen about 20 years ago and from what I recall they had a louder volume than this watch). The concept of this clock is perfect and can be very useful, but the low volume without the ability to increase the volume makes the clock impractical. Lily M James, PhD
