Buy this NVR!: Security and Surveillance

This is a very good NVR, I would recommend it to everyone in the market. Pros: Easy to install Amcrest cameras work perfectly with this DVR. Hard drives (not included) are also easy to install. It can accommodate 2 hard drives, so you don't have to worry about running out of storage space. The physical buttons on the front are easy to use and convenient for quick operation. The box includes everything you need to set it up (even a mouse!). The USB 3.0 port is much faster than the 2.0 port you may find on other products. 8 channels total, four in 4K. That's enough for most setups, just be aware if you need/want more than four 4k streams simultaneously. Cons: This NVR has a large footprint but is still thin and light, measuring approximately 15 x 13 x 2 inches (space for 2 hard drives certainly adds to the size). Personally, I couldn't connect from my mobile device at home. Maybe it's just user error or I made a mistake in setting, otherwise this NVR may not have this function? I would research this further before purchasing if your setup calls for it. I can't comment on the two-way audio capability as I don't have a mic/speaker setup. Overall I think this NVR was a great purchase and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to install their own security system.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Problem

Amcrest POE NVRs use a separate network when connected to the back POE Ports. Just be aware.
