Review on πŸ”’ LB-501 Precision Digital Kitchen Weight Scale, Food Measuring Scale, 500g x 0.01g (Black) by Shay Adams

Strange problem occurred at 3 month mark

I've had this scale for a little over 3 months and I'm glad I got the review. I really liked the scale when I first got it. That's exactly what my biggest need for a scale was, and when you found out it was a little quirk (remove the lid so it sits flat and only use it in a room with no vibration, fans, or vents), it was a great little one Scale . Yes, it has quirks, but they were tolerable and honestly, that's what I expected from accurate measurements. I used it several times a week and had no problems with it. Until two weeks ago, just past the 3 month mark. I set it up and turned it on only to see the Err1 screen. After waiting a few seconds, the display changed to my usual g output, but I noticed the decimal point was in the wrong place. Instead of 0.00g it now showed 0.0g! I don't know how, I don't know why, but after trying everything from recalibrating to changing the battery to using the included AC adapter, it doesn't fix anything. I can't calibrate because the 200g weights that come with it now show 2000g and if I just put them on to try and calibrate they pass the first weight and then go back to the normal screen. Not only am I disappointed that a similar issue arose so soon after purchase, but that this particular issue is so weird that I can't even find any information about it. So now I have to decide whether to buy another LB-501 or skip it and try another brand. I know this is highly recommended by many, but I'm still not sure.
