This article is difficult to rate. I definitely think 3-5 year olds will find something to master but I bought this for 1-2 year olds and there are way too many shapes and then you have to open every door they go through , to finally put them in the hole . It's definitely something to interact with with a young child, but 1-2 year olds get tired of how long it takes to return parts from the sorter. However, you will grow into it, which means it will last much longer. It is great. The pieces have more uniqueness, they are very durable and well made and awesome too. The keys to extract them from the sorter are a fun extra feature. Overall I think it was a great purchase, it just takes time for the kids to grow into it.
