I find the most difficult thing to visualize the dimensions when ordering items online, even when the dimensions are clearly stated. Here's a photo of a standard sized soda can for scale. This is a beautiful cookie jar. There is a rubber seal around the rim of the lid, but I don't think that would make a good seal for freshness. It just seems like it won't close completely. It could just be the jar I received or the design of the jar itself. I use it to store different types of cookies, each in their own sealed bag so I'm not sure if it's sealed enough, to keep the pastries fresh. The color is great and the tin is very good. -did. I really like tin containers and have found that some of them are made out of very thin material, but this one is quite strong and durable. Mine arrived in excellent condition. Sometimes tin cans can arrive scattered and dented, but this one was well packaged and appeared undamaged. All in all a very good cookie jar, but smaller than I thought it would be and with a mediocre print on the lid. Good price!
