Great for small items
Nothing that will hold your 8 inch scissors. However, it keeps all the little things you need close to your sewing machine like thread scissors, a brush to remove lint from your machine, a seam ripper, anything 5 inches long or less is fine. Why am I using this instead of a plain old cylindrical container? Because he sorts all my things so I can quickly see them and take them with me.
