These spats are just great for our collie! She weighs 75 pounds and I ordered a large one for her. They fit well and the velcro allows for easy dressing. They are very strong and durable and now that she has worn them several times they fit her paws well and fit her well. She has allergies and occasionally licks her paws, so I have two booties in the garage and two by the back door that I put on her front paws morning and evening when we take her for a walk so her irritated paws don't get wet . dew or rain on the grass. These booties do the trick and she can easily walk and walk in them. I had other disposable ankle boots that she hated and didn't fit well and ordered another pair of ankle boots that weren't as durable and she didn't like them either. Thanks to two Velcro straps, they rise high enough and allow you to bend your ankles. They have a good profile on the bottom for some grip. I am very satisfied and recommend them to anyone who wants or needs protection for their dog's paws.
