Works great before washing.
I love these towels. They exfoliate well and help me stretch my entire back! Some may find them harsh, but I don't use them on sensitive areas, so that's not a problem. My issue is that they fall apart after the first wash which I think is to be expected as they are not sewn on all 4 sides. For the price I'd say it's a decent value but in the future I'll spend the extra money and get the ones that are sewn all the way around.
